    Schlüchtern - A woman heard horrible screams coming from an apartment in her house and called the police. They had to break the door open.

    They found a 19-year old Eritrean man stabbing an 18-year old Somalian man in the neck with a kitchen knife. Earlier, the victim's eyelids, ears and wings of the nose were cut off and bitten off. The perpetrator then stabbed him in the eyes with the knife.

    The Somalian suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to a specialist hospital. It isn't known whether he'll ever be able to see again. So far he isn't fit to be questioned.

    The perpetrator was taken into custody and remains silent about his offense.

    The crime only came to light after an inquiry with the district attorney. In a police report it was merely mentioned as "two young men's violent conflict".
