Nel 1997 a vincere il premio fu il film Il Pazienze Inglese. Colonna sonora composta da Gabriel Yared .

Nella suite c'è un pezzo che viene attribuito a Bach da molti nei commenti, ma in realtà è stato scritto da Gabriel Yared per il film. Il suo intento di imitare lo stile di Bach, ingannando gli ascoltatori, è evidente, visto tra l'altro che dentro il film vengono suonate le Variazioni di Goldberg.
